Appeal evidence for an emergency, illness or vehicle breakdown
The evidence you need will depend on what happened. Send any of the following that support your appeal:
a breakdown or recovery report
a repair invoice or garage report
photographs of the vehicle or fault
evidence of an emergency call or attendance
evidence confirming a medical appointment, treatment or emergency
evidence relating to a bereavement or serious personal circumstance
a written statement from someone who witnessed what happened
Make sure the evidence shows
the date and approximate time
the location
the vehicle registration
what happened
why the vehicle could not be moved or why the parking time was affected
how long the incident lasted
What to tell us in your own words
exactly what happened
when and where it happened
how long it lasted
the name and contact details of any recovery firm, garage, emergency service or other organisation involved
if you do not have supporting evidence, tell us why
